Dear Nantucket Lighthouse Friends
and Families,
On Tuesday, we had a visit from Roberto Santamaria regarding our school site and our health & safety plan. It was incredibly informative and supportive of our health & safety plan. Our staff and faculty have been updated fully on his visit.
Next week, we will be offering an information session for families led by Christine. This will be a chance to hear and see what a return to school will look like. It will also be a chance to hear from our Board Chair, Maryann Hedaa. The session will start with a brief presentation of what a school day will look like.
We will ask that you submit all questions by entering them into the chat feed.
The meetings will be held virtually on Zoom:
Information Session for Small School Parents
Wednesday, August 26, 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Information Session for Parents of Pre-Kinder/Kinderclass to 5th grade
Thursday, August 27, 8:30-9:30 a.m.
We look forward to seeing you there!

ADMINISTRATIVE UPDATES
This week, we say farewell to our Business Manager, Jean Witt, who has worked at NLS this past year. She has been instrumental in our transfer to Smart Tuition, which was no small feat. She will be returning to teaching at Nantucket Public School.
Please give a warm welcome to Allyson Mitchell, our Development Associate, who is stepping into the Business Manager role while maintaining key elements of the Development position.
Fun Fact: This August Allyson Mitchell was the recipient of the Myrt Eldrige Volunteer of the Year Award. This award is given in memory of Myrt Eldridge to the hospital volunteer who best exemplifies Myrt’s spirit of self-less dedication to the betterment of the hospital and commitment to our patients. Alli was given this award for putting together a mask making and distrubution team that was responsible for getting over 6,000 masks on the faces of our community.
