Tuition & Financial Assistance
A Lighthouse education may be more within reach than you think.
More than 40% of Lighthouse families receive financial assistance.
Opening Doors to a Lighthouse Education
Nantucket Lighthouse School is deeply committed to fostering an economically inclusive community. We partner with families who share and support our mission, working together to make a Lighthouse education accessible to their children.
Because we believe financial circumstances should not stand in the way of joining our community, we offer confidential financial assistance based on demonstrated financial need.
Currently, more than 40% of Lighthouse families receive financial assistance, with the average award covering approximately 35% of tuition.
To further support families, the School offers several payment plan options designed to help families incorporate tuition into their household budgets.

Financial Assistance Process
Families requesting financial assistance must demonstrate financial need and complete a Blackbaud Financial Aid Management™ application each year.
Blackbaud evaluates the financial information provided by each family and sends its assessment to Nantucket Lighthouse School. These results help guide the Financial Assistance Committee in determining eligibility and award amounts.
We understand that financial information alone may not fully reflect a family's individual circumstances. Applicants are welcome to submit a Letter of Support providing additional context they would like the Financial Assistance Committee to consider. Letters may be hand-delivered or emailed to the School's Business Manager.
All financial assistance applications and related information are kept in the strictest confidence.
Admissions decisions are made independently of financial assistance decisions.
